Curt Anderson
Managing Partner
“Growing up in Baltimore was rough, without the right influences and role models my story would be short lived. So now that I am able, I want to give back and give someone else a chance to succeed in life.” ~Curt Anderson
Curt Anderson is a 29-year-old native of East Baltimore, Maryland. Now known as the “Hampton Roads Diddy,” affectionately coined by the Virginian Pilot, Anderson has an extraordinary story to tell. He came to Norfolk, Virginia in 1996 on a wrestling scholarship to Norfolk State University. While in college, he served for two years as the Vice President of Student Government, for Norfolk State University…the rest is history! Since leaving NSU, his resume has developed in to a “how to achieve” guide for young professionals. He took over the corporate scene at Bank of America and attained 4 promotions in 5 years, easily surpassing everyone’s expectations but his own. While with Bank of America, he was reacquainted with former NSU classmate George Spencer. Together with five other colleagues they formed the Coalition of Young Black Professionals (CYBP) (www.cybp.com). This organization was comprised to assist young professionals with networking and professional development all while giving back to the communities they served. He did not know what success this involvement would bring him. Since its inception 2001 CYBP has grown to over 300 members in seven states and the District of Columbia. Using funds received from social events such as “Insomnia,” the all white affair and “ONYX,” the all black affair, CYBP has been able to feed over 200 families, during the Thanksgiving holidays, has provided clothes and toys to over 150 families for Christmas, and has provided a multitude of mentoring and educational opportunities over the past seven years. This year presented a unique opportunity for Anderson as a new business owner. He is now the owner of Virginia’s newest upscale hotspot – the Ultra Lounge – located in Virginia Beach (www.myspace.com/ultraloungeva). The Ultra Lounge partnered with the enhanced Coalition of Young Black Professionals Foundation and One Touch Ministries to continue to serve the community for Thanksgiving.
Anderson’s portfolio does not stop with CYBP Foundation and the Ultra Lounge. He is also the President of the Voices of Empowerment Public Speaking Network for Bank of America and co-founder of Max Marketing Group LLC (www.maxmarketinggroup.com, www.myspace.com/werunva), a small business, multi-faceted marketing and management agency. Through CYBP and MMG he has become the top mover and shaker among the nightlife of Hampton Roads, with hands virtually in everything from entertainment to sports to philanthropy. He recently had the opportunity to serve as the Norfolk chairman for the Barack Obama primary election campaign. As chairman, Anderson led supporters between South Carolina and Maryland.
Beyond his professional accomplishments he manages to find time to achieve outside the boardroom. He completed the 2004 Baltimore Under Armor 26.2 mile marathon and the 2006 Breezy Point (Norfolk) Triathlon. He is also active in a local flag football league, on a recreational basketball team, and is a member of the Downtown YMCA. But through it all his greatest accomplishment is being a father!

The media landscape has never been more crowded, with so many channels for gathering and disseminating information; from websites to blogs to Twitter feeds to traditional mediums such as newspapers, radio and TV. It’s hard, sometimes, to decide which to rely on, which are the most relevant, which to trust.
But what if there were a platform to help you make those decisions, while also providing you the information you need to live a healthier, happier and more fulfilling life? And what if this platform did that while also connecting you to other people who had similar interests and aspirations? It would probably look like a social network, right?
Welcome to MyGoodLyfe.com, a site that is more than a social network. The world has enough social networks. You want a destination, a portal, a place to find answers and enjoyment. You need a place to get news about your community, weigh in with commentary, chat with respected experts and help you make better decisions about your finances, your health, your relationships, your wardrobe, your lifestyle and more.
We have taken some of the best concepts for developing and distributing information and brought them together here. And it was all done with you in mind. That’s because MyGoodLyfe.com is not about us. It’s about YOU.
In the coming weeks and months you will see this site grow and become more populated with news and information. I want to start a conversation with you about what you’d like to see from us and what you need to make your life a good life.

Stephanie L. Sutton
I look forward to hearing from you.
“Never give up on something you can’t go a day without thinking about! Never let others’ experiences deter you from following your own dreams! Always love what you do and let the passion of your love shine through!”-Stephanie
With a passion for people and a strong sense of telling the unheard sides of stories, Stephanie Sutton always knew that journalism was the career path in which she wanted to follow. Stephanie grew up in Chester, Virginia watching hard news shows such as 20/20 and Dateline NBC, but as a young teen, fell in love with the entertainment world watching shows like Entertainment Tonight, E! News and Access Hollywood. As a graduate from the Scripps Howard School of Journalism at Hampton University, she has edified her skills in journalism and story-telling through classes and experiences that have shaped her perception and work.
While at Hampton University, Stephanie worked for three years with WHOV 88.1 FM as a DJ and later became Talk Show Director where she created the station’s first –ever entertainment news talk show, Media Mixer. Interning as a production assistant/host at VBTV in Virginia Beach and also as a production assistant at Entertainment Tonight in New York City was two of Stephanie’s biggest accomplishments in college. She was also able to work with the Richmond-based Fairplay Entertainment Group where she helped successfully put on two concerts headlined by popular Atlanta rapper, T.I. Throughout college, Stephanie worked for NASA’s Develop Program where she was the public relations liaison, and upon graduation, she landed a job as a Production Assistant at WVEC Channel 13 News.
During the summer of 2008, Stephanie joined the L.Y.N.K. News and became a Feature Reporter and Executive Producer of its show content. Currently, she reports from various locations on local/entertainment news in the Tidewater area or any stories which relate back to Virginia. Stephanie believes that MyGoodLyfe will be able to highlight the positive news of young African Americans in the Tidewater area and beyond. Her dream is to create an entertainment news talk show for young African Americans (similar to BET’s popular 1990’s show Teen Summit).
Aside from working with this amazing team, she is currently a reporter at Cox Communications (Channel 11) and is the Producer of its community news show, Hot Ticket. In her spare time, Stephanie enjoys working out, traveling, visiting friends, and most importantly, laughing!
