After serving nearly seven months in prison on federal gun possession charges, it looks like the self-proclaimed “King of The South” may be home sooner than you think. According to a statement made to XXLmag.com by T.I.’s lawyer, the rapper may be headed to a half-way house to complete his term.

Via XXL:

“We are hopeful that T.I. will be placed in a halfway house within the next month or so, which would be about two or three months before his projected release date. We are hopeful for that, we do not have any control over it. The Bureau of Prisons makes that decision entirely on its own, they don’t share that decision with the public and they don’t share that decision with the defense lawyers.”

The Federal Bureau of Prisons also released a statement to MTV News stating “If his full-term release date is in March, it’s not uncommon for an individual to be released to a halfway house to serve out the last portion of their federal sentence. There are a number of factors that need to be considered: if the person is not a danger to the community, the current offense, the individual’s prior criminal history, the availability of programs and space availability,” (via MTV News).

I guess we can now look forward to a coming out reality show called “Road to Resurrection”. Make sure you log back in to MyGoodLyfe.com for more information on T.I’s ” release.
